Job Description
As part of a growing account, Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are looking to increase the size of their Derby site to respond to an increase in workload.
We are looking to recruit a number of capable Senior Tooling Engineer for deployment onto a number of projects across the portfolio within the Defence sector.
Within our Derby Business Unit, we execute complex and diverse engineering projects from initial concept through to fully engineered turnkey solutions for our broad customer base.
This role will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of high standard and complex tooling projects to our customers.
Role details:
Job title: Senior Tooling Engineer

Hours: 37 hours per week
Responsibilities include:
- Design of mechanical tooling and fixtures (concept design through to detailed design)
- Substantiation of mechanical designs
- Component and manufacturing stage model creation
- Component detail and definition creation
- Creating drawing specifications
- Presentation of design at design review meetings
- Liaison with relevant stakeholders
- Data management using Teamcenter
- Following strict design process and practice
