Job Description

Assystem are recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Services Engineer to work on our customers site in Derby on a 6-month contract basis. To provide support to the Maintenance Manager to ensure Core Manufacturing’s objectives and goals are delivered.

 

The Manufacturing Services Engineer will take responsibility for coordinating, at plant or cell level, the Manufacturing Services organisations service lines, ensuring that all aspects of external Service Provider partnerships are delivered and monitored in line with business requirements.

Location: Raynesway, Derby 

Sector: Nuclear and Defence 

Hours: 37 hours per week 

Duration: 6 months Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella - INSIDE IR35

 

Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Work closely with the designated Manufacturing Services Leader in order to deliver the Manufacturing Services objectives providing data analysis and identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Support implementation of the company Health & Safety Standards which may include taking the role of Responsible Person (RP) or Assistant RP for specified activities
  • Develop framework contracts and Service Level Agreements for external Service
  • Providers Manage and deliver the company requirements for Manufacturing Services accountabilities: Asset Management, Calibration, Energy Management, Engineering Inspections, Fixture Care, Fluid Management HSE and Risk Management, Material Revert and facility interface, in order to deliver objectives and goals for the business.
  • Manage the Calibration requirements of the business and oversee the Calibration Service Provider monitoring performance against implemented Service Level Agreements. Administer the business requirements for Engineering Inspections. vements to electrical procedures. Research and implement improvements.

My profile

What we are looking for in applications: 

  • Completed Modern Apprenticeship in NVQ Level 3 (Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical or Electrical)

  • Understanding of different fault-finding techniques.

  • Experience and knowledge of Process Instrumentation (Temperature, Pressure, Level and Flow).

  • Knowledge of safety related control systems.

  • Good understanding of Electrical Installations and maintenance operations

  • Knowledge of instrumentation calibration principles and procedures
