Job Description

Assystem are recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to work on our customers site in Derby on a contract basis for an initial 6 months.

You will be responsible for a number of Facility and Maintenance control duties, primarily in support of the Services Delivery Business Unit (DBU) activities for both In-Build and In-Service Support to the Programme.

Role Details:

Job title: Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
Location: Raynesway, Derby 
Sector: Nuclear and Defence 
Hours: 37 hours per week 
Duration: 6 months   
Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella

Key Accountabilities 

  • Maintaining building Maintenance and inspection schedules.

  • Liaising with the Site Services /Maintenance provider to ensure agreed Maintenance schedule is delivered.

  • Update any agreed changes or inclusions to schedules.

  • Control of Contractors experience (CSO) would be ideal

  • Raising of requests during breakdown or defect conditions using the Group Property Infrastructure help desk system.

  • Logging of support requests and tracking to completion.

  • Providing detailed updates on raised requests on a regular basis to Group Lead and wider business Management Team.

  • Liaising with the nominated inspection providers. and updating Maintenance schedule to show relevant Statutory insurance inspections

  • Maintaining relevant inspection and Maintenance files

  • Support to and working closely within the Logistics & Facilities Team.

  • Lend experience and knowledge to the rest of the teams when required, so that they are aware of what processes and documentation are required to be followed to ensure the efficient implementation of maintenance and inspection activities within the facility.

  • Understanding and awareness of building security and the storage requirements associated with the receipt and despatch of sensitive /restricted components.

  • Good HSE awareness and experience with Control of Contractors, HSE Risk Assessments, Method Statements and use of Safe Systems of work.

  • Responsible Person post or present experience with regards to the Local management of Legionella, Asbestos, or any other subject matter.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Relevant Engineering Qualifications

  • HS&E awareness and qualifications

  • Work experience in similar environment would be desirable.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and flexible with good interpersonal/communication skills.

  • Good IT Skills

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • FLT Licence Holder

  • Lifting and Slinging Competencies/Qualifications

  • Evidence of current or previous  Maintenance scheduling experience
