Job Description

Purpose:
To support the Design and Safety Manager with day to day engineering decisions, liaison with project management community, supply base and resource selection / interview for a growing engineering team.

Overview:
Support the delivery of engineering outcomes in a non-tidal berth .  Directly responsible to the Design and Safety Manager, supporting them and the design managers in the team with delivery of engineering outcomes and assurance of technical documentation.

The engineering team is in the process of building resilience in the ranks.  An active role will be taken in building the medium term capability of the team in support of programme demands.  Time will also be spent aiding the design and safety manager with team management.

Activity will also focus on the liaison with the project management community within the project and interfacing with the supply chain on technical matters.

SQEP:

  • Engineering / STEM Background and degree, or equivalence
  • Strong technical leadership / project management background
  • Experience of highly regulated industries such as oil & gas
  • Evidence of active stakeholder management and positive communications skills
  • Nuclear experience desirable
