Job Description
As Steelworks Engineer, you will be expected to undertake a range of responsibilities pertaining to Steel Structures and contributing to the production on HPC. You will be based on site at Hinkley Point C.
Accountabilities for the Steelworks Engineer include:
- Answering to Fabrication and Site queries (request, adaptations, non-conformity)
- Managing remaining Open Points coming from the Back-Offices
- Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
- Managing interfaces and especially all changes linked to the layout
- Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3 and ETC-C, other relevant codes,
- Produce calculation note from RSTAB software and internal EDVANCE tools for issuance to the client
- Performing of 2D-3D Checks
- Liaising with the other disciplines to coordinate the design,
- Liaising with the client for the responsibility of one building
- Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the SW design

My profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Coordination-oriented with Steel Structures experience on major/nuclear projects is highly desirable.
