Job Description

As Steelworks Engineer, you will be expected to undertake a range of responsibilities pertaining to Steel Structures and contributing to the production on HPC. You will be based on site at Hinkley Point C.

Accountabilities for the Steelworks Engineer include:

  • Answering to Fabrication and Site queries (request, adaptations, non-conformity)
  • Managing remaining Open Points coming from the Back-Offices
  • Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures,
  • Managing interfaces and especially all changes linked to the layout
  • Producing steelwork platform designs compliant with the Eurocode3 and ETC-C, other relevant codes,
  • Produce calculation note from RSTAB software and internal EDVANCE tools for issuance to the client
  • Performing of 2D-3D Checks
  •  Liaising with the other disciplines to coordinate the design,
  • Liaising with the client for the responsibility of one building
  • Maintaining Edvance’s QA procedures in delivering the SW design

My profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Coordination-oriented with Steel Structures experience on major/nuclear projects is highly desirable.
