Job Description
Senior / Principal Process Engineer
Warrington
Staff / Contract (Inside IR35)
A number of packages need to be safely removed from storage, placed in overpacks and transported to a destination store. This is complicated by the potential for the packages to contain hydrogen and corrosion issues with the current package outer layer materials. This must be undertaken to a tight timescale.
The process scope of this project is predominantly to inform and then DSEAR assess the chosen methodology to demonstrate that hydrogen and othe relevant DSEAR hazards are managed appropriately as part of the wider ALARP case.
My profile
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline)
- DSEAR / hydrogen management experience.
- Proactive and driven approach to work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members / disciplines
- Competent report writing skills: clearly and concisely reporting findings.
- Comfortable working under time and cost constraints.
- Experience of delivery of chemical engineering deliverables on multidiscipline design projects.
- Chartered Chemical Engineer with IChemE/EC.
- Experience of nuclear industry design delivery
Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
