Job Description

The HVAC and Piping categories focuses on issues relating to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning of plants and delivery of piped services to buildings across the site.

Due to the sensitive nature of the project further details will be provided on request

The piping designer will be responsible for the following on specific areas within the plant:


1)         Design of installable-piped systems / plant layouts that can be safely operated and maintained.

2)         Design of pipe supports

3)         Ensuring all relevant standards, instructions and specifications are applied.

4)         Interfacing with other disciplines to ensure optimised design

5)         Production of various deliverables e.g. Isometrics, general arrangements, support details.

6)         Checking of other designers deliverables.

My profile

The candidate must be an experienced AutoCad user, particularly in piping and the production of isometric drawings. They should have experience of piping design working within a highly regulated industry. To be fully conversant with UK Statutory Regulations and industry guides and standards relating to this discipline.  It would also be an advantage to be familiar with the relevant Standards.

Ideally the candidate should have sufficient familiarity / experience of the following tools; AutoCad,  Navisworks Freedom Viewer, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.). Categorised Projects does not use PDMS at this time.

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain residency criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.
