As the Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Nuclear sector, you’ll be pivotal in accepting designs from suppliers, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with Safety Case standards. You’ll undertake Technical Review and Acceptance of engineering documentation, managing technical issues to deliver pragmatic solutions. Your role will also involve maintaining oversight of safety case requirements in the design and providing technical support to junior engineers. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor design and operation in a dynamic project environment.
We seek a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in the nuclear sector a must. You will hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and ideally have Chartered status (but absolutely not essential). Your expertise should encompass Safety Case principles, equipment design, and Nuclear Power Station design, with PWR or EPR experience as a bonus. Familiarity with CDM regulations and UK legislative requirements, coupled with strong technical competencies is strongly desired. This role demands a motivated individual with excellent communication skills, capable of building robust relationships in a multicultural environment.

You will be expected to work at least 1-2 days a week in the Gloucester. This role involves regular travel to Bristol & occasionally to London. Travel will be subsidised.
