Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a Risk Manager to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis.

Role details: 

  • Job title: Risk Manager
  • Contract length: 4 months 
  • Location: Derby  
  • Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Define and maintain the Business Unit Risk Management Plan, ensuring alignment with Group, Sector, Business and Customer requirements, processes, and tool sets, and industry best practice 
  • Manage the cycle of Business Unit Risk Reviews, eliciting, interpreting and combining risk information from across the organisation
  • Maintain the Business Unit Risk Register, in ARM or other suitable tool, reflecting the status of risks throughout the organisation and produce supporting risk reports and metrics for the Business Unit, including analyses of incidents and assessments of risk controls
  • Maintain a comprehensive and up to date ‘map’ of risk management maturity throughout the Business Unit
  • Escalate risk information to the Submarines Executive Business Risk Review as required, and support legitimate customer or third party requests for high level risk information (including working with internal functions to support risk-based assurance, control and audit activity)
  • Act as a Risk Facilitator for activities within the Business Unit and a Risk Mentor for other risk practitioners in the organisation and share subject matter expertise within the Submarines Risk team to ensure delivery of an outstanding service to the business

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Risk / APM Qualifications
  • Experience of using ARM

**Security clearance**

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
