As a Mechanical Engineer with Assystem at Hinkley Point C, you’ll be responsible for top-tier mechanical engineering outputs, adhering to the nuclear industry’s stringent health and safety standards. Creating accurate, professional documentation will be part of your day-to-day, as will demonstrating an understanding of manufacturing, installation processes, and industry-specific standards and regulations. Proficiency in common software tools for engineering is expected and your ability to craft innovative solutions to emerging challenges and adapt designs to meet client needs will be pivotal to the project’s success.

Our search centres on candidates with deep-rooted experience in the design of heavy machinery—specifically cranes, lifting apparatus and handling systems. While a related degree or HNC/HND accreditation, supplemented by noteworthy experience is highly desirable, we place a premium on hands-on expertise in the field. Affiliation with professional institutions, especially the IMechE or IED, is also an asset.
