Job Description

The successful applicant will join our expanding organisation as the Integrated Management System (IMS) Advisor. Primarily based in our office in Blackburn or Bristol, with the option of working on a hybrid basis, key duties will include:

  • Supporting the IMS Lead on the development and implementation of the UK IMS certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Promote a strong HSEQ culture across the business.
  • Developing and implementing the group Business Process Management and Business Process Automation tools.
  • Providing administration using internal software for all global process libraries.
  • Developing process maps using internal software.
  • Leading process and tool development workshops to deliver system efficiency improvements.
  • Digitalising processes within the IMS.
  • Developing and maintaining Sharepoint pages.
  • IMS document control using Sharepoint and ProjectWise.
  • Ensuring that the IMS and accompanying forms and documents are available and accessible to all staff.
  • Carrying out any internal IMS audits as directed by the HSEQ Director and IMS Lead and as required by the Business Units and projects.
  • Recommending improvements for potential integration into AEIL IMS.
  • Ensuring that all requests for British Standards are managed through our BSOL subscription.
  • Delivering training and coaching on the use of the IMS.
  • Deliver regular comms around areas relevant to our activities.
  • Monthly reporting – tracking and reporting IMS metrics.
  • Day to day liaison with office staff on all IMS related matters.
  • Supporting IMS Lead and Quality Manager as required.

My profile

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge, experience and skills in the following:

Essential skills:

  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
  • Microsoft 365 suite including Sharepoint, Excel and Word to an Intermediate level.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Quality and/or HSE environment.

The following skills are desirable:

  • ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Internal Auditor.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Triaster and/or Microsoft Visio.
  • Knowledge of working in any of the following sectors: Nuclear, Transport Infrastructure, Rail or Energy services.
  • Knowledge of other ISO standards is beneficial (e.g. ISO 44001, 26000, 27001, 22301, 20400).
  • ProjectWise.
  • Opentree.
  • French speaking.

Please note: Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK BPSS security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum BPSS level.
