Job Description

The successful applicant will join our expanding organisation, being based in our Blackburn office with occasional travel to other offices across the UK as required. Please note we can also consider candidates preferring to be based in our Bristol office. Key duties will include:

  • Carrying out any internal quality audits as directed by the HSEQ Director and Sustainability Lead and as required by the Business Units and projects.
  • Promote a strong HSEQ culture across the business.
  • Support with external audits of the IMS.
  • Support the business units with resolving any non-conformances relating to the IMS.
  • Maintaining and recommending improvements for potential integration into AEIL IMS.
  • Providing guidance to the Procurement team to manage supplier approvals.
  • Delivering training and coaching on the use of the IMS.
  • Work with all Business Units to maintain and develop processes.
  • Deliver regular comms around areas relevant to our activities.
  • Providing cover and support for any HSE incidents and/or investigations.
  • Monthly reporting – tracking and reporting IMS metrics.
  • Support with the management and capture of Lessons Learnt.
  • Engage with the EDI Forum and work with pillar leads to deliver activities.
  • Work with the HSEQ team to promote the Switch to Impact strategy across the business.
  • Day to day liaison with office staff on all quality, environmental and health and safety related matters.
  • Supporting as required with bids.
  • Supporting wider HSEQ team activities as required.

My profile

To be successful in your application, you should be able to demonstrate the following key skills and abilities:

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor in at least 1 discipline, Internal Auditor for all others.
  • Minimum Tech IOSH working towards Grad IOSH.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain the appropriate level of security clearance.
  • Knowledge of working in any of the following sectors: Nuclear, Transport Infrastructure, Rail, Construction or Energy services.
  • Willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a HSEQ environment.
     
  • Practitioner of IEMA or working towards. (Desirable, not essential) 
  • French speaking. (Desirable, not essential)

Due to the nature of work to be undertaken applicants will be required to meet certain criteria in order to attain a minimum level of UK BPSS security clearance if not already security cleared to a minimum BPSS level.
