Job Description
– Manage, guide and drive the engineering design team on a day-to-day basis
– Is risponsible of technical control of studies, calculation, documents, … issued by the engeineering team
– Create engineering methods and processes of ENEI
– Working closely with the Project Manager, define, organize, and drive the engineering programme to support optimisation of the global costs to ensure consolidation of ENEI Business Case
– Estimate the workload, resources, skills, processes, and organisation to ensure execution of Work Orders within targets
– Contribute to the recruitment process of the engineering team
– Define and manage engineering softwares required for delivery
– Approve client release of deliverables produced by the engineering team
– Put in place KPIs and reportings ensuring effective measure progress and delivery of engineering activities
– Management of Work Order change process
– Ensure the Engineering resource commitment, training and retention is consistent with ENEI targets
– Drive technical interactions with clients as ENEI focal point
My profile
· Strong experience in design management and coordination on large multi-discipline infrastructure projects, including having been exposed to contract management,
· Experience in applying technical knowledge within the nuclear industry and awareness on Evolutionary Pressurised Reactor (EPR) design is required; detailed knowledge in nuclear field and Pressurised Water Reactors (PWR) is an advantage
· Large Experience in setting up and driving a team of technical specialists
· Strong Experience of the Engineering organisation and leadership
· Ability to understand quickly ENEI business case, stakeholders and organization and to adapt their ways of working accordingly
· Experience in French, UK, European, international engineering standards, and a strong understanding of overall regulations
· General professional qualities such as accuracy, tenacity, result-orientation, teamwork-oriented attitude, and diplomacy
· Ability to work independently, be pro-active, report on and escalate relevant issues
· Excellent communication/interpersonal skills notably with various levels of the organisation and externally
· Extensive technical knowledge and an ability to work with minimal supervision (technical or managerial).
· Lead, and implement engineering procedures
· Degree qualified or equivalent in a Science/Engineering discipline
· Strong English and French language skills
· Discretion, ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
· Strong IT skills and proficiency in engineering software packages
- Nuclear industry preferred.
