Job Description

Digital Transformation Manager – PLM system implementation

Commutable to – Oxfordshire

The Digital Transformation Manager will Support the Assystem’s client organisation team with digital transformation. We are looking for someone with a combination of experience of agile project management and system engineering, with experience of product lifecycle management, building information modelling and enterprise architecture a distinct advantage. Reporting directly to our Head of Digital, this a key role within Assystem’s Digital Engineering Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading digital change projects to ensure the successful implementation of digital services and solutions.
  • Aligning management and engineering practice to create new delivery models and align outcomes
  • Create, plan, and manage test plans and acceptance testing
  • Understanding of the challenges when implementing industry standard software such as:-                      
    • Manufacturing process data and tools (e.g. 3DX);                       Common data environments.
    • Asset Systems.  
    •  Project Management information systems
  • Undertake information gathering workshops with the operational teams
  • Able to review and challenge existing processes and analyse compliance/adherence against existing quality management systems
  • Compare project outcomes against requirements to identify gaps, ambiguities and future opportunities improvement
  • Priorities key topics, propose and define action plan for the next phase

Experience Required

  • Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, method and process optimisation and configuration management on a complex engineering project
  • Knowledge of digital transformation techniques
  • Management of change projects
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to persuade effectively with various levels of the organisation
