Assystem, a global engineering, project management and digital services company, with UK headquarters in Blackburn has announced its intention to recruit 500+ people to its UK company in 2024.

As a key player in the delivery of the UKs decarbonisation programme, Assystem isn’t just offering jobs, but seeking people who are motivated by the urgency of the energy transition and are ready to bring their ideas, passion, and willingness to dare to the most important low-carbon energy projects in the UK.

These new jobs will be located across Assystem’s regional office network that has locations in Blackburn, Bristol, Culham, Derby, Glasgow, London, Sunderland, Warrington and Westlakes.

Workers including graduates, engineers, project managers, data scientists, and support services professionals such as those in health & safety, HR and finance are all sought to join this company this year.

One reason for this demand is the rapid need for a technical workforce to build new nuclear power, which is forecast to provide 25% of the UKs energy by 2050, and other low-carbon power required to establish the UK as a low-carbon and energy independent economy.

Assystem can give employees access to the biggest and most exciting new projects happening today from new nuclear projects such as Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C and advanced and modular nuclear power, to decommissioning work at Sellafield.  Assystem is also involved in the development of fusion power and projects with infrastructure clients such as Network Rail.

Assystem has one clear mission – to accelerate the energy transition worldwide - and its 7,500 employees are known as Switchers because of their commitment to this collective mission.

Employees of the company benefit from robust career plans, access to the best projects and opportunities available and a friendly and vibrant working environment, achieved through Assystem’s continued investment in creating a positive, diverse, and learning company culture.

Assystem is at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition programme that concerns new low-carbon power and transportation and infrastructure. The new low-carbon technology that is being developed in the UK is leading-edge work that is creating exciting career pathways for technical specialists and professionals working in the support teams that orbit this great industry. Don’t watch it happen, join us and make it happen today.
