Assystem Strengthens Relationship with Rosatom

The relationship between Rosatom and Assystem has been strengthened by new collaboration agreed in Moscow.  A new partnership with RASU JSC, that concerns the provision of consulting and engineering support for the design and commissioning of nuclear power plants, was signed on December 3, within the framework of the International Forum “Electric Networks” (IFES).

At the signing, RASU JSC, part of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Assystem, in the field of consulting services for the design and implementation of industrial control systems.

On the part of RASU JSC, the document was signed by General Director Andrei Butko who said, “We are pleased to start our mutually beneficial cooperation. The signed memorandum will make it possible to use Assystem’s rich experience and competencies in the field of safety, protection, digitalization and system design of complex engineering projects to increase the speed and quality of Rosatom’s nuclear power plant construction projects, primarily abroad.”

This MOU is testament to Assystem’s position as and experienced international nuclear engineering company, with more than 3,000 nuclear experts supporting the development of nuclear programmes around the world.  It also aligns closely with the company’s vision for the increased production of decarbonized electricity.

Christian Jeanneau, Senior Vice President of Nuclear, Assystem said: “Assystem fully believes that decarbonised electricity and safety will be the drivers for sustainable energy solutions for the future, it is our great pleasure to address it together with Rosatom by cooperating on its international new build programs. Working together with RASU on a wide range of project management topics that include verification and validation as well as configuration management and licensing will ensure not only safe and successful project delivery but a timely deployment of RASU solutions to the international market.”
