Job Description
Role Overview:
Accountable for the meticulous preparation of plumbing and firefighting design layouts, precise calculations, and comprehensive coordination drawings for critical infrastructure projects including airports, metro stations, and commercial facilities under the direct supervision of senior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meticulously prepare design drawings, conduct rigorous hydraulic calculations, and perform accurate equipment sizing for water supply, drainage, and firefighting systems.
- Diligently assist in the development of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), tender documentation, and technical specifications, ensuring utmost accuracy and completeness.
- Facilitate crucial coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to ensure seamless design integration and optimal system performance.
- Conduct thorough reviews of vendor and contractor drawings to ensure strict compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain unwavering commitment to project timelines, uphold the highest quality standards, and ensure strict adherence to all applicable codes and regulations.
- Provide essential support to senior engineers during design presentations and client meetings, demonstrating professionalism and technical expertise at all times.
My profile
Qualifications:
Essential:
- B. Tech / B.E. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from a recognised university
- 4–5 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting system design for large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design software
- Strong knowledge of international plumbing codes and standards (e.g., IPC, BS EN 806)
- Experience in hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing for water supply and drainage systems
- Familiarity with firefighting systems design and relevant codes (e.g., NFPA, BS 9999)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings

Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit MEP.

Understanding of plumbing and firefighting system design principles.

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NBC, IS, and basic knowledge of NFPA).
