As part of this commitment, Assystem is proud to support the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of its first Large Nuclear Power Plant (LNPP). To strengthen the project team in Astana, we are seeking a Senior Document Controller to support the effective management of project documentation across all project phases.


Job Description

The Senior Document Controller is responsible for managing the project’s documentation lifecycle, ensuring quality control, technical integrity, traceability, archiving, and timely distribution of all project documents to internal and external stakeholders in compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain document control processes and procedures for the project in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee all document flows (technical documentation, drawings, contracts, reports, correspondence) using document management systems (DMS) such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar.
  • Ensure that all documents are correctly received, logged, tracked, reviewed, distributed, and archived.
  • Develop and maintain a master register for project documents and ensure version control.
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with client and regulatory documentation standards.
  • Prepare regular documentation status reports and respond to documentation-related information requests.

My profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma; technical or administrative background preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in document control on large-scale EPC, engineering, nuclear, or industrial projects.
  • Strong hands-on experience with DMS platforms such as Aconex, SharePoint, or equivalent systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail and process discipline.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international project environment.
  • Fluency in Russian and English is mandatory (written and spoken).
