Job Description

🚀 The Mission

As a Project Manager, you’ll support the delivery of one of the UK’s most complex and high-profile nuclear new build projects. Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you’ll take responsibility for ensuring that engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities are delivered safely, on schedule, to budget, and in alignment with technical and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you’ll manage a defined contract or work package — typically valued between £250k and £150m — and drive performance across safety, quality, time, and cost.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Support resource planning to ensure SQEP personnel are assigned and identify any capability gaps.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in developing and executing strategies in line with the Programme Execution Plan (PEP).
  • Maintain clear communication channels across stakeholders and support delivery of PEP strategies within your contract/work package.
  • Drive safe and timely delivery of activities, monitoring progress against schedule, budget, KPIs, and milestones.
  • Anticipate, manage, and resolve delivery issues within the contract/package and escalate where required.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and maintain Level 3 and Level 4 schedules aligned with overall project planning.
  • Maintain and update programme budgets, risk logs, and change control documentation.
  • Apply lessons learned and support continuous improvement across the programme.
  • Interface with parallel workstreams to maintain a unified project view and promote best practice adoption.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and escalate concerns to the Senior PM when necessary.
