CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

Newcleo is developing Generation IV lead-cooled fast reactorstogether with its MOX fuel manufacturing chain. The programmecovers the LFR-30 prototype (30 MW), wider R&D activities, andthe future LFR-200 industrial reactor (~200 MW).
To support this ambition, Newcleo is building a unified PLMbackbone for all product lines, based on Teamcenter, with Polarionfor requirements and integrated CAD/BIM data.
In this context, Assystem supports Newcleo in defining PLMprocesses, designing the PBS/RBS/WBS structures, deploying anOut-Of-The Box (OOTB-first) solution, integrating engineeringtools, managing data migration, and securing adoption acrossteams in France and Italy.

MIssions

PLM Deployment

  • Define the PLM roadmap for LFR-30, LFR-200, MOXand R&D.
  • Design PLM backbones capabilities to support PBS /RBS / WBS baselines and configuration logic.
  • Deploy Teamcenter & Polarion in an OOTB approach.
  • Integrate CAD and BIM within the PLM backbone.
  • Plan and execute the migration from legacy repositories.

Methods, Adoption & Support

  • Support the definition of PLM methods forrequirements, design, change and configuration.
  • Harmonise engineering process across disciplines.
  • Manage DEV / TEST / PROD environments and non-regression tests.
  • Coordinate Discipline Tests & UAT with engineeringteams.
  • Deploy on-site Reference Key Users for daily support.
  • Deliver role-based training, coaching and level-2assistance.
  • Set up PLM governance to sustain long-term OOTBusage.

Client benefits

  • A single PLM backbone for LFR-30, LFR-200, MOX fuel and R&Ddata.
  • Strengthened configuration and change control for improvedquality, safety and compliance.
  • Full traceability across requirements, design, documents andverification activities.
  • Improved collaboration and reuse of validated designs, reducingtechnical and schedule risks.
  • OOTB approach minimises customisation, acceleratesdeployment, simplifies maintenance and upgrades.
  • Strong user adoption thanks to structured PLM methods, on-sitesupport and targeted training.
