Canada has embarked on an ambitious path towards carbon neutrality by 2050, with nuclear energy at the heart of its strategy. With plans for new reactors, both large power and A/SMRs, and life extension of existing facilities, the country stands out as one of the most dynamic nuclear markets in the world.

Working alongside the main stakeholders in the sector, Assystem is leveraging its recognised expertise in nuclear engineering, digital solutions and complex project management to support the development of a safe, competitive and sustainable low-carbon energy.

After the opening of its first office in Toronto in 2025, Assystem is actively expanding its activities in Canada  to meet these growing needs. This growth is already underway with major milestones, including the signing of a strategic memorandum of understanding with PTAG to advance nuclear infrastructure and waste management projects in the country. It establishes a framework for the joint delivery of complex nuclear projects and programs in Canada, spanning new build, refurbishment, decommissioning, fueling, and waste management initiatives.
