CONTEXT AND CHALLENGES

The Government of India and Government of Gujarat are jointly developing the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) as a hub for economic activities. The DSIR is a Greenfield Industrial City pre-planned and located approximately 100 km South-West of Ahmedabad. Spanning approximately 920 sq. km, encompassing 22 villages of the Dholera Taluka in the District of Ahmedabad, is envisaged to be bigger than the city of Ahmedabad. It is strategically located between the industrial cities of Ahmedabad, Baroda, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.

Dholera Industrial City will have its own self-sustaining eco-system consisting of economic drivers through industrialization, utility & logistic infrastructure, Social Infrastructure including education, healthcare and other public amenities.

It is planned to create an economically and socially balanced new-age smart city with world-class infrastructure and highest quality-of-life standards with sustainability in the urban form including a sustainable urban transportation system within and mobile/efficient regional connectivity with neighboring cities and the rest of the country.

Project Scope

Assystem’s teams in India contribution on that project was articulated around Four (4) work packages:​

  • STP Work Package: Design and Construction of 6 Sewage Pumping Stations, Sewage Treatment Plant (10 MLD capacity), Master Balancing Reservoir-Recycled water (MBR-R) and Recycled Pumping Station at TP2E (survey no.) on EPC basis and its Operation and Maintenance in DSIR, Dholera.​
  • CETP Work Package: Design and construction of 14 Industrial Effluent Pumping Stations, Common Effluent Treatment Plant (20 MLD capacity), Master Balancing Reservoir - Recycled water (MBR-R) and pumping station at TP2E (survey no.) on EPC basis and its operation and maintenance in DSIR, Dholera​
  • RWTM Work Package: Design, Construction, Operation and Maintenance of Raw Water Pumping Station and Raw Water Transmission Main (RWTM) from Pipli Pumping Station (Pariyej Reservoir) to Water Treatment Plant (WTP) at TP1 (survey no.) in Dholera SIR.​
  • WTP Work Package: Design and Construction of Water Treatment Plant (50 MLD capacity), Master Balancing Reservoir-Potable Water (MBR-P) and Potable Water Transmission Main at TP2E (survey no.) on EPC basis and its Operation and Maintenance in DSIR, Dholera.
