For the development of the Kingdom’s Eastern Region and its urban areas, Assystem was selected to deliver integrated consultancy services across five main tasks: project management, urban design, preliminary studies, environmental assessments, and economic evaluations.

The mission includes managing deliverables, supporting design and visualization, conducting environmental studies, enhancing spending efficiency, and evaluating the feasibility of sustainable projects — all in line with the client’s long-term urban development vision.

Project Scope

  • Provide full project management support, including reporting, deliverables tracking, and stakeholder coordination
  • Prepare and review technical documentation such as scopes, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packages
  • Support preliminary urban planning and design activities with 3D visualisations and CAD coordination
  • Conduct environmental studies, including EIAs, marine pollution assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop design standards and urban planning guidelines to enhance consistency across assets
  • Perform economic and feasibility studies covering capital cost, operational impact, job creation, and investment options
  • Evaluate government spending efficiency and project portfolio prioritisation to align with the client's strategic goals
  • Ensure all recommendations comply with sustainability targets and Vision 2030 objectives
