Job Description

Are you a skilled engineer in Piping Design and looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the nuclear energy sector? Do you have a passion for innovation, sustainability, and making a positive impact on the world? If so, then we want to hear from you!

As a leading nuclear engineering company, we are seeking an ambitious and talented Piping Designer to work on exciting and innovative projects in the nuclear energy sector. You will be part of a team working on cutting-edge technology and making a significant contribution to the energy industry.

As a Piping Designer, you will be responsible for designing pipework on nuclear projects, which is modelled in 3D software. You will work closely with the Piping CAD Lead and contribute to the production of high-quality 3D models and designs.

Piping Designer – Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate 3D activities and provide technical expertise
  • Select the right support concept for the piping line
  • Design and model piping supports in 3D Incorporate design changes into the 3D model
  • Offer technical advice and make corrections to the 3D model
  • Perform 2D-3D checks and clash reviews
  • Produce draft isometrics for checking

My profile

Skills Required:

  • A relevant degree or certification in mechanical engineering or CAD design is preferable
  • Good familiarity with 3D modelling software for designing pipework.
  • Experience in previous nuclear projects is desirable but by no means essential
