Assystem Sponsors First Nuclear Panel at Innovation Zero World Congress 2026
10 February 2026
Assystem will host the first nuclear panel at the 4th edition of the Innovation Zero World Congress, taking place in London from the 28th to the 29th of April 2026. With ambitious targets to quadruple UK nuclear power capacity to 24 GW by 2050, Assystem’s timely panel session will explore what it takes to drive forward nuclear rollout to position the UK as a global leader in the next generation of nuclear development.
As part of this theme, the company will bring together key industry figureheads on its “Accelerating the UK's Nuclear Revolution” panel, including Chairman of Great British Energy-Nuclear, Simon Bowen, Sizewell C CEO, Nigel Cann, as well as Assystem’s UK Managing Director, Simon Barber, with more industry voices to be announced in the coming months. As part of its session themes, Assystem will spotlight how sector leaders can galvanise recent government backing, strong investor interest and the growing domestic supply chain to supercharge the UK’s global leadership in the nuclear field.
Innovation Zero 2026
Innovation Zero is the UK’s largest, government-supported congress designed to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. Held annually in London, it brings together over 7,000-12,000 stakeholders, including innovators, policymakers, and investors to showcase, fund, and deploy, and scale low-carbon solutions across various sectors, including energy, infrastructure and manufacturing.
As a top 2 independent international nuclear engineering firm with 60 years of experience in managing some of the world’s most critical low-carbon infrastructure projects, Assystem’s presence at Innovation Zero will be pivotal for positioning nuclear as a transformative player in the UK’s clean power mix.
At a time when the UK is positioning nuclear at the forefront of its clean energy future, we’re proud to lead the first nuclear focused session at Innovation Zero this year. The event is a major platform for the energy transition sectors and nuclear technology is at the centre of this. Bringing together some of the most influential voices across the industry will provide an insightful discussion about how the UK can deploy leading-edge technology and innovation to deliver its nuclear programme.
