Assystem, an international engineering, digital services and project management company, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of OREKA Ingénierie, a French company specialising in 3D visualisation and simulation technologies and digital twins. OREKA Ingénierie is active in the field of production tool optimisation, improvement of working conditions and e-learning tools and generates an annual turnover of approximately 1.3 million euros.

This acquisition, which was completed in January 2023, aims at strengthening Assystem's digital expertise in the field of digital twins and developing the Group's training offer through 3D digital training tools, where Oreka holds expert knowledge in e-learning and serious game tools.

These digital simulation tools are deployed with immersive headsets or augmented reality glasses which will revolutionize training, particularly in the nuclear sector where there will be many needs in the context of the construction of the future EPR2.

By joining Assystem, OREKA Ingénierie will have the opportunity to access the main low-carbon energy projects to which Assystem is fully committed, notably in the fields of nuclear, fusion, renewable energy and hydrogen and transport infrastructures.

Christian Jeanneau, Vice-President in charge of Assystem's digital activities, said: "We are delighted to welcome OREKA Ingénierie in the Assystem family. This acquisition adds a valuable brick to our digital twin activities, which represent a performance and competitiveness lever. 3D simulation is now becoming essential for project management but also for training in order to immerse users in a virtual environment that simulates reality. Training will be a crucial issue in the nuclear sector to deliver the many projects to come. With this acquisition we confirm our commitment to accelerate the development of nuclear energy to fight against climate change."

Didier Duffuler, Pascal Pommier and Nathalie Michel, founders of OREKA Ingénierie declared: "It is with great enthusiasm that we join Assystem with the will to share our know-how and expertise in the field of immersive 3D digital technologies. It is an opportunity for our teams to be confronted with ambitious projects, with the aim of creating with Assystem a real centre of digital excellence at the service of industrial performance.”
