Description du Poste

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing the Engineering task deliverables activities and managing their scope, quality, safety and risk management deliverables in-line with the programme and engineering schedule. 
  • Develop scope, requirement specifications and engineering design using agreed engineering CAD, FEA and Modelling tools. Identify and agree deliverables and activities in-line with the design development activities stipulated in the programme and engineering schedule.
  • Act as technical support and point of contact for other project and interface activities as required and ensure review of outputs and integration of results with the project engineering leadership.
  • Collaboration with the project partners to deliver integrated solutions. Manage interfaces (project and technical). Present and be part of design reviews (single & multi-disciplinary review) in accordance with the programme, and engineering schedule review milestones.
  • Provide input to multidisciplinary reviews, risk reviews, HAZID/HAZOP reviews. Undertake optioneering studies ensuring liaison with key stakeholders relevant to the Turbine Island Scope.
  • Ensure adherence to the company statutory H&S Policies and rules and compliance with the project and Quality Management System. 

Profil

Skills & Qualifications: 


  • Demonstrable experience preferably in the nuclear or highly regulated industry such as oil and gas and process sectors. Significant experience and background in Building Services, Plant and equipment design system, specifically on HVAC.
  • Strong technical background and broad experience in EPC power plant projects. Knowledge of nuclear standards pertinent to the design and substantiation of nuclear and non-nuclear ventilation systems. Experience in the production of ventilation system design deliverables, i.e. Ventilation Flow Diagrams (VFDs), Basis of Design (BoD)/Functional Specifications, Plant Sizing Calculations (Heating/Cooling/Fan Sizing) and Control Philosophy.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external stake holders
  • Ability to identify and manage the critical interfaces on major power plant projects.
  • Good knowledge of UK Health and safety regulations, safety systems, HAZOP and engineering substantiation and technical standards. Knowledge of CDM and application of EU/UK codes and standards.
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role/environment, with recent relevant exposure to working in the nuclear industry. Experience of planning and estimating HVAC tasks along with providing progress and budgetary control to projects and teams

  • Result oriented, teamwork, ability to work independently and proactively as part of a team, good organisation skills, ability to deal with confidential and sensitive nuclear information in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to achieve BPSS or SC clearance 


Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in an engineering discipline 
  • Health and safety qualification is desirable such as IOSH or NEBOSH 
  • Chartered and/or working towards chartership
