Electrical inspector is in charge of performing predefined checks regarding the conformity of electrical systems and equipment of the NPP buildings. These checks will concern mainly grounding during the construction phase, then low-voltage equipment (cabinets, auxiliary electrical systems, distribution) and very low-voltage equipment (e.g. sensors, etc.) during the installation phase.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that electrical works inspected are compliant with regulatory and technical requirements according to Turkish law 30024 on inspection of nuclear power plants
• Ensure the traceability of the inspections performed, of the defaults and deviations observed and of the non-conformities issued
• Verify the defaults, deviations or non-conformities are properly corrected
• Ensure his/her inspection activities are performed in a safely manner

Duties

• Take knowledge of Akkuyu NPP Project referential (norms and standards, specifications, procedures, etc.) related to the electrical systems and equipment installation works to be inspected
• Review and comment the execution documentation (technical drawings, quality plans, etc.) related to the works to be inspected
• Prepare the inspection on site by identifying the elementary checks to be carried out, considering the requirements defined by the Turkish Regulation 30024
• Conduct the inspection on site in order to verify the compliance of the electrical works executed with the execution documentation and applicable norms and standards
• Perform quality inspection related to earthing/lightning grid of buildings (e.g. resistivity, connectivity, cut-weld controls, etc.)
• Conduct inspection for incoming electrical equipment on NPP worksite site to verify the conformity and the preservation conditions of the concerned material/equipment
• Elaborate Work Inspection Reports in order to keep record of the content and the results of the inspection performed on site
• Describe and record the defaults or deviations observed during the inspection and follow-up their resolution
• Perform an assessment on the defaults and deviations recorded, and when decided, describe and write a non-conformity notification, then monitor the corresponding corrective and preventive actions
• Respect the existing AEOS NCIO project Quality Assurance processes and HSE requirements
• Contribute on request to the elaboration of the AEOS NCIO Project Monthly Report, by providing information on inspection activities carried out during the month
• Attend, on request, internal or external technical meetings

Interfaces

• Belong to the AEOS NCIO Inspection Team
• Report to the Electrical Lead Inspector and follow his/her instructions
• Notify the Electrical Lead Inspector of defaults, deviations and non-conformities and on their resolution status
• Interface with the AEOS NCIO Project Support team, on documentation management topics and for the elaboration of the Monthly Report
• Respect the instructions given by the QHSE team regarding Quality Assurance and HSE requirements

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of the Regulation on grounding of electric power facilities (Official Gazette No. 24500 of August 21, 2001)
• Knowledge of the following standards:

-ISO 9001 – Quality Management

– RCC-E – Design and construction rules for electrical equipment of nuclear islands

– GOST 12.1.030-81 – Electrical safety protective grounding, neutral grounding

– GOST 23216-78 – Electrical products, Storage, transportation, preservation, packing. General requirements and test methods

– IEC 60780 1998-10 – Nuclear power plants – Electrical equipment of the safety system

Qualification

– PUE, 6th edition, Electrical Installation Rules

– PUE, 7th edition, sections 6, 7 Rules of the device electrical installations

• Fluent in Turkish – read and spoken
• Fluent in English – read, spoken and written
• Fluent in Russian – read, spoken (will be a plus)
• Microsoft Office software (professional use)
• Ability to supervise electrical and I&C commissioning tests

Education

Graduate diploma in electrical or electronic field (High school + 4 years)

Experience

• 3 years in inspection and/or in quality assurance/quality control in electrical works
• 5 years minimum of professional experience in electrical works in construction, maintenance or industrial projects
• Experience in a Russian construction project (will be a plus)
