About the project:


Swadesh Darshan 2.0 Project: Swadesh Darshan 2.0 is an ambitious tourism development project by Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, aimed at enhancing the infrastructure, aesthetics, and overall appeal of tourist destinations. This transformative initiative seeks to promote sustainable tourism, preserve cultural heritage, and boost the local economy. As the appointed Project Development and Management Consultant (PDMC) for the UT of Chandigarh (One Destination Chandigarh) & States of Punjab (Two Destinations i.e., Amritsar & Kapurthala) & Haryana (One Destination i.e., Panchkula), we are looking for an experienced Team Leader to play a pivotal role & lead the given projects.v


Job Description

  • Guiding the Team for Preparation of Tourism Masterplan Reports for Destinations, Project Concepts, Site Master Plans, Detailed Project Reports (DPRs), drawings, presentations, weekly & monthly progress reports, etc & Overall delivery and managing all aspects of the projects.
  • Development of destination through multi-stage interventions including development of tourism master plan, identification and designing subsequent projects and support in capacity building and promotion of the projects & drive sustainability principles across various project milestones.
  • Leading multi-disciplinary team in master planning, design, bid process management, monitoring and implementation.
  • Identification of opportunities to promote Private Investment at the Destinations Conduct project techno-feasibility assessment.
  • Visit the state headquarter and destination as often as may be required for the project & leading stakeholder consultations,
  • Leading the Physical/virtual meetings with State Tourism departments & Central Ministry of Tourism & other line departments.
  • Prepare project schedule, monitor progress, assess project issues & impact on timeline / cost, ensure quality & timely deliverables, establish performance monitoring system
  • Co-ordination with other key experts on tourism product planning, marketing, skilling & IT related aspects & consortium partners on various project requirements to enable in project issues resolution.
  • Guiding the Team in contract management & assist in 3rd party inspections during implementation.
  • Guiding the team for conducting scheme level events and initiatives at the destination in support of State/Implementing Agency along with any other task required to be undertaken for destination development and improvement.

My profile

Qualification: Post-Graduate in Tourism Management/MBA/Urban Design/Urban Planning/Infrastructure Planning/ or equivalent; over a basic degree of Bachelor’s in Planning/Architecture/Civil Engineering, etc.

Experience: Overall 10+ Years Experience (Min.) with relevant experience in leading multi-disciplinary team preferably in Tourism Sector/Smart City projects,etc.

Working knowledge of plans, specifications and schematics associated with construction.
