Job Description

Assystem is supporting the development of Kazakhstan’s first Large Nuclear Power Plant (KNPP). We are looking for an IMS Senior Specialist to join our international team and play a key role in developing and implementing the Integrated Management System (IMS) for this landmark program.

The IMS Senior Specialist supports the TO-02&03 Quality Manager in designing and implementing a process-based IMS. This role ensures alignment with international nuclear quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project management best practices.
 

Core Responsibilities

  • IMS Development & Implementation: Develop the IMS Plan, process maps, manuals, and procedures; ensure maturity and continuous improvement.

  • Training & Awareness: Design and deliver training programs, including induction, QA, and internal auditor qualification.

  • Auditing & Reviews: Define and lead internal audits, act as Lead Auditor, support external certification (ISO 19443, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and manage reviews.

  • Performance & Reporting: Implement and track IMS KPIs, maintain the maturity matrix, and prepare regular reports.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with client management and multidisciplinary teams in a multicultural, international environment.

My profile

  • Strong knowledge of nuclear quality standards (ISO 19443, ASME NQA-1, IAEA GSR Part 2).

  • Expertise in business model design tools.

  • Fluent English (C1); Russian language is a plus.

  • Ability to manage IMS development in a nuclear licensing context.

  • Strong process management, documentation, and auditing skills.

  • Master’s degree in engineering or quality (or equivalent).

  • 15+ years in QMS development, certification, and continuous improvement, ideally in the nuclear sector.

  • 5+ years managing a certified IMS (QHSE).

  • Proven experience in process description, QA training, and training material development.

  • IRCA ISO 9001 Certified QA Lead Auditor (mandatory).
