Job Description

Assytem is recruiting two experienced Technical Quality Document Management (TQDM) Specialists to support a high-profile client operating within a highly regulated engineering environment.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with 5+ years’ experience in document control, information management, or a related technical governance role, looking to step into a more advanced, technically focused position.

The Role

As a TQDM Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that technical documentation is accurate, controlled, and compliant with strict regulatory and quality standards.

You’ll work closely with engineering and project teams to uphold robust information management practices and governance.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

📤 Transmittal Management

  • Prepare, check, and issue transmittals in line with client procedures
  • Validate metadata, revisions, formatting, and naming conventions
  • Liaise with engineering, project management, and supply chain stakeholders

📊 Technical Governance & Due Process

  • Support governance meetings and readiness reviews
  • Ensure compliance with version control, auditability, and controlled processes
  • Advise teams on governance expectations and document quality standards

🗂️ WIP & Common Data Environment (CDE) Support

  • Act as a technical specialist for WIP and CDE usage
  • Support users in structuring, storing, and retrieving information
  • Maintain data integrity, permissions, and access controls

💻 Client Document Management System (CDMS)

  • Provide specialist support and troubleshooting
  • Identify system issues and support continuous improvement
  • Deliver training and promote best practice

🤝 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships across engineering, project, and quality teams
  • Promote consistent information management practices
  • Support onboarding and user adoption

 

    My profile

    ✅ Essential Skills & Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in document control or information management within a regulated industry (e.g. nuclear, defence, aerospace, energy)
    • Strong understanding of document control processes and governance frameworks
    • Experience with EDMS/CDE platforms (e.g. Vault, ProjectWise, Asite)
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital document systems
    • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
    • Confident communicator able to engage stakeholders at all levels
    • Ability to manage workload independently

    ⭐ Desirable

    • Knowledge of engineering change, configuration management, or project assurance
    • Experience supporting audits, governance boards, or regulatory submissions
    • Process improvement experience
    • Experience delivering training or championing best practice
    • Awareness of engineering lifecycle documentation or nuclear standards
