Job Description

As part of Assystem’s transformation programme (ATP), we are accelerating the deployment of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud supported by SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Experience range – 10 -15 years 

To secure delivery and enforce high engineering standards, we are looking for a hands-on Tech Lead & Expert able to design, build and lead complex SAP BTP solutions in a multi-country, multi-stakeholder environment.

The role combines deep technical expertise, delivery ownership and team leadership.

Join Assystem’s transformation programme as a senior hands-on Tech Lead SAP BTP. You will be the technical authority on BTP topics at team level, acting under the guidance of the ATP Technical Authority, while actively contributing to development and integration activities.

The Tech Lead is accountable for architecture, code quality and delivery. He/she is expected to lead by example through hands-on contributions and ensure alignment with SAP best practices (Clean Core, side-by-side extensibility, API-first).

My profile

Hands-on Architecture & Development

  • Design and implement BTP extensions (CAP – Node.js / Java)
  • Build APIs (OData / REST) and event-driven integrations
  • Develop Fiori/UI5 applications when required
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues

Technical Leadership

  • Lead developers and act as technical reference
  • Perform code reviews and enforce best practices
  • Structure development guidelines and reusable assets
  • Support team upskilling

Integration

  • Implement integrations via SAP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management)
  • Design secure and scalable interfaces with S/4 and third-party systems

Delivery & DevOps

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies
  • Ensure quality, performance and maintainability
  • Actively participate in testing and validation phases

Soft skills

The candidate shows strong ownership and a clear focus on delivery. They combine technical expertise with hands-on execution and lead by example. They communicate effectively with both technical and functional teams and approach problems in a pragmatic, solution-oriented way.

 

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Strong hands-on experience on SAP BTP and S/4HANA Public Cloud
  • Proven experience as Tech Lead or Senior Developer
  • Ability to code, design and lead simultaneously
  • Fluent English is mandatory (daily international interactions)
