Job Description

As a Security & Resilience Consultant within Assystem’s Safety & Risk business, you will support the delivery of security and resilience programmes across critical national infrastructure, including nuclear and defence sectors. You will provide subject matter expertise across areas such as physical, personnel, information and cyber security, as well as business continuity, crisis management and operational resilience.

Working across strategic, operational and technical levels, you will assess risks, develop proportionate solutions and support their implementation within complex, regulated environments. You will engage closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams, producing clear, actionable outputs and contributing to informed decision-making.

In addition to project delivery, you will support business development activities and maintain awareness of evolving threats, regulatory expectations and industry good practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact programmes where resilience and security are critical to safe and effective operations.

My profile

You will have experience delivering security and resilience activities within critical national infrastructure or similarly regulated environments. A strong understanding of risk management, security frameworks and resilience principles is essential, along with the ability to apply these in a practical, proportionate way.

You will be confident engaging stakeholders, communicating complex issues clearly and working across multiple priorities in dynamic environments. Experience in consulting or client-facing roles is advantageous, particularly where you have contributed to assessments, strategy development or implementation.

A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, alongside recognised qualifications in security, resilience or risk management (e.g. Security Institute, CBCI, IRM). Experience within nuclear or defence sectors is beneficial but not essential.
