Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission
This is a hybrid position, but we’re prioritising applicants within commuting distance of Bridgwater; a small relocation allowance may be available.
You’ll support the development of piping layouts and documentation that ensure systems are safe, practical, and ready for construction.

  • Create and update 3D piping layouts, isometrics, and material take-offs.
  • Interpret process drawings and turn them into clear, buildable designs.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers on interfaces.
  • Consider constructability and safety in every design decision.
  • Support design reviews and help manage document updates.
  • Assist with site queries and updates to drawings where required.
  • Maintain design data accuracy and follow project workflows.
  • Contribute to a positive, proactive engineering culture.

 

My profile

🛠 Essential Skills

  • Experience in piping design or layout within large projects.
  • Competent in 3D modelling tools such as E3D, PDMS or similar.
  • Good understanding of how systems fit and function within a plant.
  • Awareness of construction safety and design coordination.
  • Familiarity with documentation and change control processes.

✔️ Desired Skills

  • Exposure to pressure systems or plant design environments.
  • Familiarity with site engineering or construction support.
  • Knowledge of material traceability and quality assurance requirements.
