Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission
This is a site-facing role focused on Mechanical construction quality surveillance.
You’ll monitor contractor activities to ensure quality standards are met.
You’ll work within a wider team supporting construction progress and compliance.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing surveillance on mechanical works: static/rotating equipment, piping and welding.
  • Ensuring works meet the Contractor’s Work Information and quality standards.
  • Reporting any deviations, non-conformities, or technical issues observed.
  • Supporting open issue resolution with Construction and Quality teams.
  • Contributing surveillance data to site-wide KPIs and reporting tools.
  • Checking inspection records are complete before works are covered.
  • Reviewing contractor performance against authorised quality plans.
  • Promoting safe construction aligned with quality and design governance.

 

 

My profile

🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent trade experience
  • Proven experience in pipework, HVAC, vessels, and mechanical installations
  • QA/QC familiarity, including torque checks and punchlists
  • Comfortable with SharePoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
  • Solid grasp of ISO9001, GQAS, BTS, and BST requirements
  • Clear, concise technical writing and diary keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining professional diplomacy
  • Capable of identifying issues and escalating appropriately

✔️ Desired Skills

  • Experience with large rotating equipment installations
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations and drawing/document control
  • Previous work on large construction or infrastructure sites
  • Familiarity with mobile data capture tools
  • French language skills are a bonus
