Job Description

🚀 The Job Mission
This role supports the delivery of commissioning and pre-operations activities at Hinkley Point C.
You’ll work within the Operational Control Centre (OCC) as part of the Work Management team.
You’ll help develop and implement processes to support safe and efficient nuclear operations.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Work closely with electrical commissioning teams to improve deliverables and efficiency
  • Specify electrical commissioning work orders that align with project scope and timing
  • Resolve open points by engaging with key project stakeholders across disciplines
  • Support the implementation of operational maintenance into the asset management system
  • Help define routine maintenance requirements with the Equipment Reliability team
  • Provide input into the development of the Enterprise Asset Management tool
  • Assist in writing safe, reliable maintenance and work planning procedures
  • Contribute to work management process documentation in line with WANO AP928

 

My profile

🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Electrical apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience using asset management systems and MS Office tools
  • Familiarity with electrical maintenance and test procedures
  • Background in highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, power, oil & gas)
  • Experience writing maintenance instructions and risk assessments
  • Understanding of engineering drawings and system design manuals
  • Knowledge of safety assessment processes (e.g., APSA)

✔️ Desired Skills

  • Experience with commissioning activities or nuclear site commissioning
  • Understanding of WANO AP928 and related work management processes
  • Familiarity with UK nuclear fleet operations
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management tools development
