  • Identify potential ecological risks and support the development of appropriate solutions.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, contractors and other project stakeholders to deliver effective environmental outcomes.

Technical Development and Team Collaboration

  • Work alongside experienced ecologists and environmental professionals to develop your technical knowledge and practical experience.

  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of technical delivery, quality assurance and health and safety.

  • Keep up to date with changes in wildlife legislation, planning policy and ecological best practice.

  • Take responsibility for delivering allocated project tasks within agreed programmes and budgets.

  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and the continuous improvement of ecological services within the wider team.

  • Knowledge of ecological reporting, mitigation strategies and environmental assessment processes.

  • An understanding of Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG), UKHab and relevant assessment methodologies.

  • Membership of, or working towards membership of, the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical reports.

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple project tasks and deadlines.

  • A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving and professional development.

  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Desirable Experience

It would be advantageous if you have:
