We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.


Job Description

Senior Planner. Lead activity level schedules for the UU Design team in Engineering for 30-50 projects and them move into proactive planning and control or these project plans working with the engineering lead.

 

Typically 8 years (relevant) experience, degree or relevant professional and technical qualifications (e.g. APM) with considerable experience in Project controls/programme delivery on large complex projects and programmes.
Substantial recent experience in Programme Controls / Planning / scheduling / Programme Optimisation.
Expert knowledge of design and build techniques, methods and durations, with ability to plan and schedule detailed bottom-up construction programmes.
Strong understanding of techniques for project planning and other facets of project controls, integrated project planning and quantitative schedule analysis
Strong knowledge of Primavera and similar planning software
Excellent interpersonal skills to build and manage relationships at all levels within the organisation and across all major functions to achieve divisional / company objectives.
Good people management skills and an ability to build and develop high performing teams.  
Ability to constructively challenge stakeholders regarding task owned activities to ensure data integrity
