Job Description
Working in a small team of process engineers 👷♂️👷♀️, reporting to SL Process RE and Engineering Manager 📊
Regular reporting on process team progress to Project Management and Engineering Manager 📈🗂️
Working closely with a multi-discipline design team 🤝, including other engineering disciplines ⚙️ as well as non-engineering and non-design functions (Project Management, Programme Delivery, Technical Support, Safety Assessors 🦺, Plant-Side Engineering 🏭, Plant Operations, Commissioning etc.)
Information gathering 🔍, optioneering 💡 and design development 🛠️
Presentation of design at regular assurance reviews 📢 with process design intelligent customer, as well as at technical committee, management safety committee 🦺 and others where required. Communicating design proposals 🗣️ to the customer, and working with them to achieve an acceptable solution ✅
My profile
Working with teams of process engineers 👷♂️👷♀️, other engineering disciplines ⚙️ and non-engineering disciplines 🤝 in delivering process designs on medium/large-scale projects 🏗️
Good communication skills 🗣️ and ability to work with other team members / disciplines 🤝
Competent report writing skills 📝: clearly and concisely reporting findings 📊
Comfortable working under time ⏱️ and cost 💰 constraints
Safety assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP) 🦺⚠️
Production and checking of 📄✔️: Basis of Design, Process Description, Feed and Effluent Descriptions, Process Calculations ➗, Process Data Sheets 📑, Basis of Process Safety (BoPS) 🛡️
Masters/Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering 🎓
Desirable 🌟
Working with and adherence to processes and procedures 📋, in particular checking and approval procedures ✔️
Nuclear safety case development ☢️ and provision of nuclear substantiation in project space 🏭
Chartered Engineer with IChemE 🏅
