We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Civil Engineer specializing in HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems to join our organization in Gurugram, India. In this leadership role, you will oversee the civil engineering aspects of HVDC transmission projects, directing a team of engineers and ensuring the successful delivery of complex infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic vision and decisive project management capabilities.

• Lead and manage civil engineering teams on HVDC transmission line projects, from design through construction and commissioning
• Develop comprehensive civil design solutions for HVDC infrastructure, including tower foundations, cable routes, and substation layouts
• Analyze project requirements and technical specifications to ensure compliance with Indian power sector standards and international best practices
• Oversee site supervision, quality control, and safety protocols to maintain project timelines and quality benchmarks
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to integrate civil design with overall HVDC system requirements
• Prepare detailed project reports, technical documentation, and performance reviews for senior management
• Manage budgets, resources, and schedules while maintaining cost efficiency and project profitability
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations, safety standards, and local compliance requirements
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for civil engineering challenges
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, contractors, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution

• Minimum 12 years of professional civil engineering experience with at least 3 years dedicated to HVDC transmission projects
• Proven expertise in complete HVDC project including GIS, valve hall, DC hall, Convertor Transformer foundations , Yard Equipment foundations  design, and project delivery
• Strong proficiency in civil design software including Staad, Safe, Tekla,  Revit, AutoCAD, , and related modeling tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of HVDC technology, electrical systems integration, and power transmission infrastructure.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams
• In-depth understanding of Indian power sector regulations, Codes & standards, and compliance requirements.
• Solid grasp of site supervision, quality assurance, and construction management methodologies
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Project management expertise with proven track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery

**Preferred Qualifications:**

• Experience with renewable energy integration and HVDC systems
• Familiarity with international HVDC projects and global standards
• Background in substation design or electrical infrastructure projects
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure programs in India
