Job Description
Presentation and context
Assystem is the only Turkish company to have been involved in Türkiye’s two nuclear power plant construction projects. It is currently engaged on the second Turkish project, Akkuyu, for which it carried out site selection studies.
In Türkiye, Assystem also manages the quality inspection of systems, structures, and important components for the Akkuyu plant’s nuclear safety, alongside Rosatom.
Assystem has been accredited by NDK, the Turkish Nuclear Safety Authority, as an independent nuclear inspection body as defined by Turkish Law No. 30024.
Assystem started in early 2019, on behalf of a major player in the local nuclear industry, the performance of quality inspections of the construction and installation works of the buildings and systems important for nuclear safety of Unit 1 and part of Unit 2.
After 2 years of on-site services, Assystem was awarded a second similar contract extending its scope to the buildings and systems of unit 2 and part of units 3 and 4.
For the Akkuyu Project, we are currently looking for an Operation Manager / Director. This role has been created due to the increase of team headcount .
Main missions:
To lead and direct a diverse and sizable team of engineers within the Unit, providing strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to maximize their potential and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
To collaborate with clients, client representatives, project managers, internal Project team, and other stakeholders to understand the project requirements, objectives, and constraints, as well as ensuring deliverables meet all necessary specifications and regulation
Responsibilities
In this role you will have the following accountabilities and responsibilities
- Leadership and development of more than 100 staff
- Drive the strategic resourcing retention plan and mobilization/demobilization according to the lifetime of the project
- To work with stakeholders to meet internal and client requirements.
- Interface with Project Directors, VP international and client stakeholders
- Provide a visible positive leadership style, setting high expectations for delivery and performance standards, and actively managing the performance of your people to achieve that
- Lead the required recruitment and development of your people to meet the capability and growth needs of the business
- Responsible for efficient utilisation of staff
- To cooperate with the HR team to recruit and retain talents
