Context and challenges

This client is a group specialized in the production of polyolefin products, base chemicals and fertilizers. It is the second most important manufacturer of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) material solutions.
One of its sites is specialized in the production of nitrogen fertilizers, ammonium nitrates and nitric acid.
The client has invested 26 millions euros on fourty three projects during its shutdown in 2016, then 6 millions euros each year thereafter. The projects aim at improving the plant, increasing reliability and adding new security systems. As a result, this would increase production, reliability of facilities and optimize energy efficiency of the site.

Assystem was appointed to set-up an engineering office for the management of project investments. Assystem has been involved in the preliminary engineering stages through the project execution stages, working to minimize the impact of project operations.
