5 years of training nuclear experts
03 July 2012
On June 27th Assystem was celebrating the 5th anniversary of its Assystem Nuclear Institute, the internal training center dedicated to nuclear energy. Most members of the
Management Board, including its chairman Dominique Louis, joined students from all ANI classes and their trainers. During the first part of the evening guests focused on the history of the ANI and shared their experience with each other. All participants took part in the professional “speed-dating” game, which allowed everyone to introduce himself or herself and get to know the other guests. The goal was to create close bounds between members of Assystem’s nuclear community.
Created in 2008, the Assystem Nuclear Institute aims at passing on the Assystem nuclear expertise to the engineers who join us, whether beginners or with experience in the nuclear sector.Training modules and courses vary according to the student’s level of experience: In small groups of around 10-15 people, a beginner will complete the “induction” course in order to master the fundamentals of energy and nuclear business and be able to operate on nuclear sites. A more experienced student will further develop his or her skills and follow the “in-depth” program.
On top of transmitting nuclear knowledge and training students to reach the level of excellency that is expected from all Assystem experts, the goal of the ANI is also to create a community of nuclear experts. Trainees meet fellow students but they are also expected to get to know their trainers and their future colleagues and managers. This ANI event was a great occasion to launch the MONA network (My Own Network in Assystem) and its development on Assystem Connected.
